Sal Cumella, M.D.

Salvatore Cumella, M.D., is the Executive Vice President of LENCO Diagnostic Laboratory and the President and CEO of Cumella Professional Services, a public relations and consulting firm. He received his B.A. in Biology from George Washington University and graduated from the University of Monterrey Medical School. Dr. Cumella’s career has focused on community service by being involved as a political fundraiser and community activist. He has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and “Man of the Year” for Italian Charities of America and the Federation of Italian-American Organizations. He was founder and president of Careers Thru Education, a private corporation devised to further educate students in medical allied health programs; he has served on the Board of the Forum’s Children of the World Foundation; and he now serves on the Executive Boards of ABRUD (American Brotherhood for the Disables) and SUB-B (Senior Umbrella Network of Brooklyn).
